Talk:MuslimWiki:Introduction

Salaam. When you made this page, I think you should have linked the following:
"Some pages need NO editing such as the Quran, or the 99 names of Allah. If changes to these pages are required then a request can be made to one of the Administrators"
In this sentence, you could have linked Quran and the 99 names of Allah. It would be a good example of what not to edit.
[edit] Inconsistent policy
Firstly there are guidelines, such as all work has to be sourced and referenced. Secondly the MuslimWikipedia has a NPOV policy, i.e this isn't the place for Peoples points of view. Thirdly the MuslimWikipedia is to present Islam, its History, its people, its tenets, its faith, its ideas in a POSITIVE light, and hence negative views of Islam are against the Muslim Wikipedias policies.
There is a problem with your guidelines. One theoretically cannot satisfie both the second and the third rule, because they're conflicting. the positive light on islam is NOT NPOV. Maybe you should introduce a multiple choice policy, so that visitors are free to choose if they want to satisfy the second guideline and drop the third, or if the want to satisfie the third and drop the second. POV is a grey area, and generally it refers to emotive use of language, rather than a particular angle or slant. However it can also refer to a particular angle or slant. But there is always a particular angle and slant in everyones writing. WikiSysop 22:09, 31 March 2007 (BST)
