- Thursday 26th Safar 1 (12th September 622); Meeting in An-Nadwah (Council) House of the Quraysh where it is agreed that a band of men, one from each tribe, should strike Muhammad simultaneously so that the blood-money would be spread over them all and therefore could not be exacted.
- 11th December 1917 (26th Safar 1336) - British general Allenby enters Al-Quds after defeating the Ottoman army
- 5th June 1967 (26th Safar 1387) - an‑Naksah (The Setback), Six Day War. Israel defeats the Arab states of Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, and Syria in six days. Arab East Jerusalem is occupied by the Jews.
