Ningxia Autonomous Hui Region is the smallest province in China, but largest number of Muslim living there, covers 66000 sq Kms, with population of about 5000000, 31 minorities, and Hui people covers about 30% of total population, is the largest area for Hui people living, its capital is Yinchuan, and almost all population residence along the Yellow River and the irrigation channels which crated in the Han Dynasty. This province established in 1928, and re-established in 1958 as Hui Autonomous Region.

In Ningxia, there are 1 ethnic university, 2 ethnic colleges, 24 Muslim middle Schools, 96 Muslim Schools.

Many Muslim living around Nanguan Mosque in Yinchuan, as it close to the city.

In this Region, Guyuan area is one of the poorest in China!
