• 2^nd February 1971 (6^th Dhul-Hijjah 1390) - After a coup in Uganda, Idi Amin replaces President Milton Obote as leader.

• 27^th December 2006 (6^th Dhul-Hijjah 1427) Israel ships 2000 automatic rifles, 2 million bullets to PLO/Fatah lead by Mahmoud Abbas, prompting accusations that UK, US and Israel are taking sides in a civil war against the elected government lead by Hamas.
