Translation of the Qur`an
This is a translation of the Qur`an. Any translation of the Qur`an automatically ceases to be the literal word of Allah, and therefore cannot not be equated with the Qur`an in its original Arabic form. This is a translation of surat Al-Qadr, by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. It is the 97th chapter of the Qur`an, and consists of 5 verses. For an exegesis of certain verses of this surah, see Tafsir Al-Qadr.

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

¹ We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power:

² And what will explain to thee what the night of power is?

³ The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.

⁴ Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission, on every errand:

⁵ Peace!...This until the rise of morn!
