Al-Malik has three similar meanings
- Al-Malik - the King
- Al-Malik - The master and owner
- Alladhi Lahu l Mulk - The one to whom belongs the dominon
He is described with the attribute of being the master and owner. These are attributes describing his grandeur and majesty and both his omnipotence and governance and how he governs. He is the one who directs all of the affairs to do with creation, everything is subservient to him, owned by him and in need of him. Whereas Allah is in need of no one
