Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud

Introduction Abdullah ibn Mas'ud used to tend the flocks of the Quraish cheiftan 'Uabah ibn Mu'ayt. People called him "Ibn Umm 'Abd" (the son of the mother of a slave). He first met Muhammed pbuh and Abu Bakr as-Siddiq when he was tending the sheep. They approached and asked for milk from the sheep. Abdullah ibn Mas'ud explained they where not his, to give milk from.

Abdullah was taught in the prophets Madrassa. He became the best reciter of the Qu'ran
