Abū Ayyūb

Abū Ayyūb also known as Eyüp Sultan. was the standard bearer of the Prophet Muhammad. Abu lived a long life and was involved in the attack on Constantinople in 669 CE (49 AH), where he was Martyed.
His tomb lies on the outskirts of Istanbul
Legend has it that when Mehment Nasir laid seige to Constantinople in May 1453 (Rabbi al-Thanni 857), a light eminated from his tomb, which was discovered in a vision by Sheik ash-Shams ad-Din
